The kind of day it is...

This picture is taken from just outside my cubicle.  That is the back of my head.

It was knocking on my window.

EDIT: The damn birds are stalking me.  When I went out at lunch to run errands, it was standing right outside the front door on the concrete waiting for me.  One of my co-workers thinks that the geese have figured out that legal is alone in the building, and they're going to pick us off one by one...

I'll just shut up now.

No - you're right! Because I came right up out of my chair. Here's the thing - that shot out the window? If you look out that window and down.... it's a little less than three stories down to the ground. So I generally don't get much wildlife at the window.

There was a story recently about a garage down in Virginia who had a goose that came every year and hung around for several months, knocking on windows (and getting fed, which of course reinforced the behaviour). They were closing, and wondering what would happen when it came back the following year, and there was a new owner. Except that you've been in the building for a while, I'd wonder if the previous tenant had liked feeding geese. I understand they can be quite tasty if fixed right, so perhaps you should encourage this?

The kind of day it is when a Canadian goose is standing calmly RIGHT outside your window is...bad? Good? Just rather weird?

Just rather weird. It's been tending that way lately, and a Canada goose, oh, five feet from my head on the ledge is just sort of the next step.
