Wasting Time, Avoiding Work

So as I've been thinking about this particular incarnation of technological voyeurism, I'm beginning to view it as a time saving device.  The office would probably appreciate the idea of one post on the clock instead of seven long emails.

Moving into the new house continues.  You'd think after six months that one would be moved in and unpacked, wouldn't you?  Not with a pair of mated packrats.  My big goal is to purge "stuff" from our lives.  Bob is on board in theory, but in practice I'm getting a lot of pushback.  I'm getting grief about getting rid of stuff of *mine.*  But we'll work it out.

This week has just stunk.  I have no patience.  I think I need a vacation, because I'm not managing to suffer fools at all, let alone gladly.  So I thought I'd kick this off, and if it brightens things up, maybe I can concentrate on the pile on my desk.

Plans for the weekend: tomorrow we will divide and conquer, and have fun.  I'm getting back to my monthly sewing dates with my friend Sue.  She's been good about the fact that I've been off the grid for the last six months.  I'm not sure how much I'll actually get done, but it'll be nice to get out of the house.  Bob is having another friend over, and they'll be doing a brewing workshop.  As long as the floor gets mopped, everything will be fine.  My only regret is that I won't get to show off the new house.  He got to do the last tour also - I fell down the stairs two hours before the company came, didn't quite break my toe, and couldn't walk when they got there.  Grmph.

Sunday will be taxes.  This year won't be fun.  Three W-2's, one CT resident full year, one CT resident part year, one MA non-resident, part year; capital gains from sale of stock (payinf off the debt); cashing out an IRA (downpayment for the house); and purchase of a primary residence.  We've bought Turbo Tax.  I don't wanna do it.

Okay.  Back to the trenches.
