Thankee. Do the dancing for me for the moment - the stitches suck... :-)

Oh Hurray !!!!!!!
Congrats to you all. Post pics when you can. Glad the C-section wasn't needed.

Me too! Although I wouldn't be sitting on the c-section...

Oh, no section, that's great! And hooray for Charlotte Anne. :)

I can now be the only person that I know personally with an induction and no section. I'm pretty psyched about it.

Grandma loves the name. Phew!...

Thank goodness. It'd suck if grandma made a face every time she tried to say it. :) Hope you like her! (Charlotte, that is. I know that's a weird thing to say, but not being a motherly type, myself, that's likely what I'd be praying for...one of those instant motherly rushes that comes on when you finally see your own actual offspring. However I hear they grow on you even if you don't want them to. :D )

Grandma would get over it. After all, she's been my mother for almost 40 years, so she's used to getting over things where I'm concerned. Loootts of practice.

Right now that we're trying to "get" the whole breastfeeding thing, I have to admit that the instant rush of maternal feelings - not happenin'. But I have it on reliable authority that this too will come.

Besides, it's not like the hospital has a money back guarantee, so we're stuck. :-)

Yeah...that's why I said 'hope you like her'. :) I KNOW I'm not parent material, but if I ever got a maternal urge I'd be worried that when the kid came, she'd be like a kitten I once had...was a great idea before I had her but I got sick of her in a single week (and promptly gave her away to someone who was clearly a proper pet person, unlike me.)

So I hope you like her LOTS. Babies don't have much personality at first but they do get pretty cute once they can sit up and crawl around and stuff because by then they're already starting to do things in their own way and you can notice it.

Yippee! So glad all went well and you didn't need the c-section. Best wished to you all.

I posted on the BBM mailing list too, but it bears repeating.

Congratulations, and so glad to hear that everything went well. I'm sure that Kris is *very* happy that no c-section was required. 8)

I'll try to come over some time later, (as in weeks), with the finished bunting.

OMG yay!!! Congratulations...she's beautiful (I saw the most recent entry first) & hey I LOVE the name! Between your Charlotte Anne & my Chalotte Marie, we can start a revolution to bring back beautiful old-fashioned names.

Wow! Seriously...blown away. You came through like a rock star too. Good for you, girl. *huge hugs*
