Yesterday I picked up, put away, and scrubbed the kitchen, dining room, and living room, and got a decent start on the library.  Today I did the same for the library, roughly tidied the sewing room, and cleaned the stairs and upstairs hallway.  That included finally pulling together the big donation for the Salvation Army.  We're right on track to fill the house up with people for New Year's eve.

I'm not really a fan of new year's eve per se, but it's a good excuse to fill the house with friends and feed them on a night when they don't need to go in to work the next day, and therefore don't have to rush away to get up.

It's also REALLY good motivation to clean the entire house.  ;-)

In other news, I've run out of shelf space again.  I need to either purge the books again, stop buying books, or find someplace to put more bookshelves.  What to do...
