I am going to cry

My shoulder surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.  Said shoulder hurts so badly that I haven't had a full night's sleep in almost a year - it wakes me up every hour.

I have a cold.

I might need to shoot myself.

EDIT: Let me clarify the difficulty.  I don't give a rat's ass that I have a cold.  There is, however, a better than excellent chance that the anesthesiologist may care enough to call the whole thing off.  THAT is what is going to make me cry.  I have everything in place, and if they put this off... a week?  Two weeks?  A month?  Two?... I'm going to come unglued.

Vitamin C is a blood coagulant. They don't want you developing blood clots.

That makes sense. I also hunted a bit and found that the supplements (not C found in food) may act as a diuretic, and lowered blood volume going into surgery isn't exactly a good thing either.

Thinking about it, the lowered blood volume might help with the coagulation.

And of course some of the doctors out there recommend C before surgery, just to confuse matters....

So, still thinking good thoughts out here.

Is this same-day, or will you have to stay overnight?

Out patient. Tomorrow night this time is going to suck.
