Further diagnosis

Well, the old lady cat has pancreatitis.  I'm not 100% certain what that means from a practical standpoint, but they don't sound concerned.  Hopefully she can come home tomorrow, and I'm scheduled to go in to my regular vet Friday morning.

Meanwhile, Becket is roaming the house calling for her like... well, like a lonely Siamese.  He waited to eat dinner - because she eats first - and he has left her half for her.

Re: bummer
Think good thoughts. She's apparently a tough old broad, and I'm thinking she should be good for another decade.

Awww, Becket being a gentleman...who knew?

I'm glad you've got a definitive answer on what's wrong. Those usually come with definitive action plans.

Not in this case. Pancreatitis is fairly inscrutable. They don't know what causes it, they don't know what triggers it, they don't know what makes it go away, and there is no treatment. In cats (and in people) it's something that you get, and it either goes away or it doesn't.

Here's to hoping it goes away. Tonight would be Just Fine.

Want my kitty back at home with me.

Well, damn, that's frustrating. I'll second that hope. Sending good thoughts from Sunny and me!

Is she home yet? I hope she's doing better.

Oh dear! I'm sorry Eloise. I like the idea of bringing Beckett with you when you pick her up at the vet, is that going to work out??
