This morning strength was cancelled - I don't know why, but I suspect the instructor is out sick. Luckily, I found out early enough to trot down and grab a treadmill at my usual time. After two weeks off, that kinda sucked. But I got to a mile in under fifteen minutes, and frankly I think I'm doing that consistently enough that I'm only going to mention it again if I don't for some reason. I got to two miles in thirty minutes and twenty seconds. So it wasn't clean, but it was within thirty seconds. I'll take it. I decided to keep going to two and a quarter miles on cool down, and did it in thirty six minutes - the last six minutes were a fairly leisurely stroll as I gasped for air and my heart tried to pound out of my chest.
So I'm back on the wagon. I have a plan for tomorrow - I'm taking my bagpipe music to class with me, and if torture man is running it again I'm just going to go straight to the back and get on a treadmill. No muss, no fuss, and while it's disappointing at least I'll still get my workout.
I like that I'm seeing progress on the treadmill even if I don't see any on the scale.
