Other People's Brilliance

Some time later than now I will write about my 20th class reunion, Cider Day, and Simplefare. Today I merely bring you a link to some truly brilliant writing. I imagine that a lot of people have seen this before - indeed, I came to it via a link on merimask  's LJ. But in conversation with lucianus1 at Simplefare yesterday it came to light that they had not seen it yet, and I promised to post it. This is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.   I can't manage to put a link, but here is the address.

If for some reason that doesn't work, Google "I has a sweet potato."  It's worth it.  Really.

lol...that's just about the funniest thing I've yet to see on the internet. Greg & I still say "Noooo! They be stealin' my sweet potato!" to eachother...just for fun.

Bob and I tend to quote "One human is NOT ENOUGH" when the cats are giving us the boo-boo eyes. When I first read it on yours I sent it to a couple of people in the office, and I could track when people clicked the link by the muffled guffaws coming out of assorted offices and cubicles.

"Dogs in Elk" is also funny, but in a slow-motion car-crash sort of way. This is just funny. She's an amazing writer.

I haven't laughed as much since dogs in elk -- http://www.webtree.ca/tree/keeper/dogs_in_elk.htm if you don't have it bookmarked.

Even my mother's overweight cat isn't as good at proving that she's starving.

Dogs in elk is astonishing. I don't have it bookmarked, I just Google it when I feel the need to revisit it.

I has a sweet potato is just... words fail. I giggle every time.

Dahling! I'd be delighted. Fair warning though - I tend to blather, and I don't consider myself hugely entertaining. But if you feel like reading about my adventures in the Wonderful World of Weatherstripping (the current obsession) - I'd love to have you.
