Another one bites the dust.

Ages ago, we cut down another tree that I'd been agonizing over, and as usual, I'm very happy about it. 

Here's the before - I'm talking about that odd pine tree in the middle:

Just a silly place to put a tree.  It shaded the garden, and you had to dodge around it to walk around the corner of the house.  So we cut it down.

Much nicer. 

Maybe the irises will actually bloom this year.  If so, I'll get some more.
