As expected, the little girl has an ear infection.  She does *not* have a perforated eardrum - just the most amazing ear wax that anyone has ever seen.  We'll get her started on the antibiotics, and she'll be right as rain.

It remains to be seen how it's gonna go with the cats.  We'll see what there is to see when I get home.

Toddlers are like the TARDIS -- much bigger on the inside. This is how they can always produce the most astonishing quantities of whatever foul fluid is likely to gross you out the most at any given moment.

Cats -- I've lived with them for over half my life and I still don't understand them.

You got that right. I'm still trying to figure out how a child can produce her own body mass in snot in one evening. Without getting dehydrated - that's the neat part of the trick.

I don't know what is going on between the six brain cells that my cats have between them, but whatever it is, it needs to cut it out.

That there's the problem: Too many brain cells. If they only had one (between them, not each) it wouldn't be able to get into any arguments.

Hope Herself is feeling better.

You know, you're right. Clearly they're thinking too much...

Herself seems to be a happier child. We got the first dose of antibiotics into her. They smell downright nasty, but she was a VERY good girl about taking them. Possibly she remembers that I WILL sit on her (literally) and MAKE her take them if necessary. Mommy is still bigger than she is.

I remember being larger than my children. Barely. Enjoy it while it lasts. My youngest is now over an inch taller and quite a few pounds heavier so I have to rely on force of personality.

LMAO -- toddlers are DEFINITELY like the tardis.
5yos still have the knack -- as I know from many recent bouts of stomach flu. TMI if I said more.
