One thing my mum did with us was always to get us (all 3 kids) to pee before leaving the house. That helps cut down on accidents. It's a habit I still maintain to this day :(
That would be fantastic - and a very nice validation of my "don't worry about it, she'll do [fill in milestone here] when she's ready.
Yesterday I already started with "use the bathroom before we get in the car." When I was a kid we used to drive to St. Paul, MN to visit my grandparents. Like you, I'm still programmed.
It's worth remembering that, no matter how many excellent books on child development you and your pediatrician have read, she hasn't read any of them (yet!). So yea, she'll do stuff when she's ready.
Most kids do most of the developmental stuff in approximately the same order at about the same age. However there are wide individual variations and unless she's seriously out of sync with her age/gender cohort, no worries.
Last time I checked, she was a major cutie. Will she be at Simplefare?
