A Mystery Solved

I actually figured it out last week.

Our cats spend a lot of time in the bathrooms.  Just curled up on the bathroom rugs.  By themselves.  Of all the rooms and furniture in the house, why the bathrooms?

Last week I was heading up to bed.  I stopped in the library to put a book away.  I glanced in the bathroom, and there they both were.  I stopped to say a word to Bob on my way to the stairs (no cats passed me) and headed up to the bedroom.  As I walked into the bedroom, both cats walked OUT of its attached bathroom.  That's when I knew.

The teleport is in the shower.

At first I thought it was just the bathrooms, but we hide Becket's favorite toy in the half bath, and he WANTS it.  So it must be the shower stalls.  That's why they hang out in the bathrooms.  To be close to the teleport.  It all makes sense now.

A Mystery Solved
AH...that's why my dog used to sleep under the toilet! All these years I thought she was staying cool because of the pipes--but she was REALLY guarding our house from cat-burglars!

Re: A Mystery Solved
Exactly. And that would explain why you can put a cat on a kitty-diet of one little tiny scoop of dry food a day - and they gain weight. They're just heading over to eat at a friend's house.
