Charlotte has decided that she likes garlic hummus. This is good.

She insists that it is "applesauce." This could be... amusing.

There could be many other things she could call it...

Odd, though. You'd thnk "hummus" would be fun to say.

Re: :-D
I don't think it's the word, I think it's the sheer pigheaded stubbornness. She's decided that it is applesauce, therefore it is applesauce.

Now, I wonder where she gets that from. :-)

I love garlic hummus. I particularly like white bean garlic dip/spread mixed with jalapeno hummus, but plain old garlic hummus is very good, too.

I don't think she'll like it on her oatmeal, though.

I wouldn't be on that... :-)

Ooo good for her.

Warn her grandparents before they warn her off it when she lunges for it. Victoria loved hummus and spicy foods at first...but she'd been hearing "that's too spicy for her" from her grandmother, and then she got a hold of one of Rob's "don't eat this it's too spicy" peppers. Ever since the jalapeno, she doesn't want to try "spicy" anymore. Actually that's starting to break...but I do think if she hadn't been told a category of food wasn't for kids, she'd have better understood that the problem was that one particular pepper.

I love my motherinlaw, but she does have classic New England view of "spicy". (I haven't figured out where Rob & Scott got it from!)
