The details of official start date are still being worked out - HR suddenly realized that maybe they couldn't do the drug test and the background check before his contract ends on the 9th, and they're apparently not interested in extending the contract to cover, but that will all get worked out. I suspect Bob's boss may have something to say about that. As it stands though, there may be an "interruption in service," so to speak, but our tax refund should be arriving soon and we can live off that for a bit if we have to.

Almost three years. Navtec laid him off while I was still pregnant, and Charlotte will be two and a half in March. I won't breathe easily until April when he's past his 90 days probation, but even so - this is a huge relief.
