I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you!

We've been hanging fire at work about a move back to the main campus for oh, about nine years now.  Back in March of 2001 we moved to this building in another TOWN even, and they told us that we would be here six months, a year and a half at the most.  Uh huh.

The lease is up on this building at the end of the year.  We were given a move date of October 1.  Last week we were told that it was pushed back to October 15.  This morning we were told that it has been pushed to November 12.

A little birdie tells me that we have permission from the landlord to take the lease month to month.  I don't know how reliable that birdie is, but given that they have a huge building that will be sitting empty when we go and no potential prospects for renters that I know of, I can believe it.

It's frustrating.  At this point I just want to get it done and get it over with.  The fact that the new location is almost exactly five miles from home and about a half a mile from day care doesn't hurt my feelings either.

I'm betting on spring of next year.  I'll say March.  Let's see how I do.
