Amusement

I finally figured it out!  When Charlotte babbles, she sounds just like an Ewok.

Return of the Jedi came out when my sister Sarah was a charming three-and-half-year-old and she was quickly trained to say "yub yub".

I began working on it this morning. Of course, *I* want to teach her to say "come and see the violence inherent in the system," but that's a bit much for her right now. :-)

She really, really does - it's that soft consonants, mumbley babble. For days I've been trying to figure out why it sounded familiar.

Not a hope on this planet - waaaaayyyyy too much work for no return. You've seen my neighborhood. I do not believe that trick or treating will ever be in the cards.

I don't know about your schools, but when I was growing up we had a halloween parade--and the girl across the street is at a school that does the same thing. Even V's daycare center encourages the kids to wear costumes.

None of my schools ever did anything like that, and most of the school systems that my coworkers are dealing with specifically forbid costumes for security reasons.

We've got several years to figure it out.

Trick or treat in ours! Tons of kids! Lots of candy! This is one of the privileged of parenthood--don't miss out on it!
