I'm a Bad Person

So absolutely ages ago, vynehorn and I decided that we wanted to go to the Costuming Symposium down in Philadelphia.  Bob evidenced no interest when I asked him, so I figured he and Charlotte could last the weekend just fine, since I've always intended her to be fully weaned by then.  Plans were made, the hotel room reserved, and we're beginning to discuss logistics, including pulling out on Friday.

I just realized that Friday is my tenth wedding anniversary.

Yeah, I'm a putz.

In explanation, we had originally planned for October 23rd, but moved it because so many people who were important to us weren't available that weekend.  Problem is, I've had the 23rd stuck in my head ever since.

Oops.  Sorry hon.

wedding dates
I do know exactly what you mean: engagement on my birthday and we should marry on his while the male mostly do forget...
The year we married HIS birthday was on a saturday so everything was at least 4 times more expensive so we thought up another joke not to forget.
We did tease him: on the 26th, when YOU were still 26 you got married.
On the 27th, when you became 27 and got your full wits it was to late.
It is HIM who repeat that jokes and never forgets and it is ME who needed years to get those numbers right! Does that make me bad too? Do not think so for I still take care of him after more than 39 years!
One usually remembers the first planned date!

Re: wedding dates
Exactly! He always remembers, and I always forget. We joked when we bought the rings that we would have the date engraved inside of his so that he wouldn't forget (mine was too small to have engraved.) So of course who can never remember which date it was? Me, of course.

There are worse things to forget.

Oh dear...and to add insult to injury, we'll be going to Marrakesh for dinner and he won't. Does that make me a bad person too? :)

Nope - you're not expected to know when my wedding anniversary is.

Frankly, I'm not sure how we would have managed Marrakesh with Charlotte anyhow. I'll do something nice to make up for it.

But did you see that there is a class *schedule* up?

No You're Not
I realized the date would conflict with our anniversary when I said I didn't mind you heading to Philly. The chance to attend a Known World event is rare and meant a lot to you.

Enjoy yourself and don't feel guilty.

Besides I can watch Charlotte when you both decide to go to dinner together. Don't forget that if you are ok with it an overnight is also included with this.
Have a great time.
