Thought for the day

I cannot fathom how anyone can have a baby and still maintain a liking for cottage cheese afterwards.

(For the record, I've always thought it was nasty.  This just reinforces that belief.)

Do me a favor
Whatever you do, don't EVER explain this post to me...

PS Sorry I missed you and the baby at Simple Fare! Yule?

Re: Do me a favor
I'll restrain myself.

Yule - definitely. And we won't be in the kitchen all day (although that's the fun of Simplefare for me.)

I'm sorry. I do fully understand and sympathize.

However I still like cottage cheese. 8)

I still like cottage cheese, though I understand your trauma! My sisters used to do horrible things to bananas as infants and toddlers and it put me off eating the things for oh, about, ten years.

It's not really trauma - as I said, I think it's nasty. Just something I observed and felt obliged to share.

I've never liked clottage cheese, but I TRY to like it as it is a FABULOUS thing to eat if you work out, as it has very few calories, almost all of which are protein. (Kind of like egg white.)

I keep trying to like it but the best I can do is mix it up with feta and toss it with tomatoes and salt and pepper and olive oil into a salad. By itself it's just too yuck.

I know - I keep trying it because it's so good for you. Also, it's guaranteed to be on every salad bar known to man. But I just can't get there. Blech!

vernix caseosa
For someone who is going through medical classes I completely. Since learning about that I can no longer put cream cheese on a bagel.
Really sad I missed you at Simplefare. I can't get to events until after I finish school. You know you live about 20 minutes from so there is no reason why we can't get together sometime.

Re: vernix caseosa
Actually, that idea didn't bother me. It's the current state of affairs...

I understand about school - but we miss you. When I've got my act together a bit more we should get together for dinner or something. One of the reasons we wanted a house was to have people over, after all.
