Anyone out there know anyone who can do a short Latin translation for me?

Short.

Really short.

Like - two words (English) short.

I'm reluctant to use an automated translation program for Latin.  I might end up saying "I castrate fruit flies for fun."

I prefer to ask here than on any EK lists, because here I get the kooks and weirdos that I like

My latin is rusty, but I still have my references. What's the phrase?

I would think baron_steffan or mermaidlady (Morwenna) could help.

Well, at least we're the kooks you like :-)

I might be able to help, depending on what it is.

Babel fish really is fairly decent. Especially if you do a reverse translation. In any case, you could show the results of what an AT comes up with to a few people.

Have I got a translator for you...
This I can help with -- my mother-in-law is a Latin teacher.
Appropos of nothing, she used to do a very cool thing--she translated between Medieval French & Medieval Latin for a professor who was fluent in one but not the other and needed the other for a particular research project. I have a very cool mother-in-law.

Email me the text if you haven't got a translation yet, because I won't be back online today. (And actually I'm astounded to be online at all--I just hit the bookmark to your page by mistake and learned to my surprise that not ALL livejournal's blocked -- at least your page is okay. I suspect the corporate netnanny spotted an ad it didn't like on my friends page... I'm not reading any more now, but this post caught my eye.)
