Fine. Be like that.

I want you all to know how DISAPPOINTED I am in the complete lack of snow delivered by this weekend.  I wanted snow.  I was promised snow.  Scott-I'm-Too-Busy-Swishing-Around-The-Set-And-Showing-You-All-How-Gay-I-Am-To-Actually-Announce-The-Weather-Haney did a whole OMG WHY HASN'T THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUED A WARNING rant on Friday (here's a clue, dingbat: Because it was a nonevent.  And because you idiots running around yelling OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD every time we get three flake are the reason we all got slammed at Halloween.  Because we don't BELIEVE you any more.  Dipshit.)

I was promised snow.  I was hoping Charlotte would actually get to make an honest-to-goodness snowman.  I even bought carrots!

Some February this is turning out to be.

Don't worry. We'll be buried under it in April. All the big bad storms hit the Northeast in April. =)

A-HEM!!!!
There will be absolutely NO snow for Easter this year. After that weekend it is free to snow all it likes but I will not have my event that weekend stomped by snow.

So there. :-D

What's the temperature where you are? Hang on, I should be able to find out...I just have to find that address...

6C? (About 38F?) That's not winter, it's spring. You'll have bulbs popping up soon if it's like that every day. No wonder you've got no snow. Our weather's been freakishly warm, too, but MOSTLY below freezing. (Though it's been averaging about -5 (23F) through the winter so far, where normally it'd be at least -15 on average...about 5F. Some years it's well colder but not often much warmer than that.)

You've got to be at LEAST two zones warmer than us, though. What's your typical temperature, right now? You're in CT, right? Or is that an old addy?

Yep - that's the current addy. SPRING. We've been running in the high 30s to sometimes low 40s F, which is freakishly warm. The ground is still hard - at least in my yard - but that won't last long. We get intermittant snaps in the 20s F, but no snow.

We're in zone 6A. We ought to be running at about 20F. My bulbs are going to be very confused if this keeps up.

Yeah, WE have been Zone 6 this year (I'm in Zone 4A) so by the trend, your weather must be mimicking at least zone 7, and I don't think of anything warmer than zone 6 as being very wintery at all.

I hope it doesn't destroy the bulb blooming period. If you DO get snow in April, it could really wreak havoc. At this point it's almost better to just go entirely without, from a gardening standpoint at least.

I'm sorry it's been a sucky winter. :(

Yep...those weathermen are going to ruin the economy too...if they hadn't scared me off, I was going to pack up me & V & gas up the guzzler and head to Long Island and go outlet shopping & photo-printing with Gramma. See all that good cash still stashed in the bank? His fault. ;)

But then again, Rob was able to do the first stage of Victoria's playscape so a good time was had by all. Strange to go outside and dance in 1 - 3 inches of sunlight.

PS: Just wanted to tell you, if you've been missing having Andrea around (on LJ)...she's on FB every day. She says LJ just takes too long, with how busy she is (you can upload directly to your minute post on FB so it IS way faster than an LJ post). She says she keeps meaning to do it, but I kind of think she's been converted. ;)

So if you have FB, she's on with both her business name and her real (original) name. I assume you're not there because I've never seen you chatting with her...apologies if that is an incorrect assumption.

PS: Though maybe you just talk by phone. Well, just letting you know on the off chance you didn't already. :)
