My kid is weird - I blame Hugh

So, two years ago Charlotte sat in her little chair strapped to the counter at Simplefare, and Uncle Hugh taught her to eat crusty bread and say omnomnom.

This morning I watched her eat her breakfast.  She wanted bread.  Since the heel was no longer available (having been previously devoured) she took the regular slice.  She ate all the way around, eating off all the crust.  Then, she reluctantly ate the soft middle.  For the second piece, she ate off all the crust, then asked daddy to toast the rest.

How many kids have you seen who won't eat the crusts?  Mine wants nothing BUT crusts.  Weird.

hugh_mannity - this is all your fault.

Thank you.

You can blame him for liking the crusts, but I'm sorry, the weird was inevitable with you and Bob as parents. It's why we love you both.

We've taught V that eating the crusts will help her have strong teeth.
She isn't as ...eager...as Charlotte, but she eats them.

But tonight she refused the outer edge of a cheesecake slice because the color was too dark.

Hm.
