Completely over the top

I just stumbled on the most over the top law firm name that I have yet encountered.  They're usually long and unwieldy, but this one wins a prize.

Bloom Hergott Diemer Rosenthal LaViolette Feldman Schenkman & Goodman, LLP

It takes up two full lines in the address block, and maxes out the field on UPS.com not even halfway through!

They may be very nice folks, but I feel for the receptionist.

That's probably what it sounds like when they answer the phone!

I guess they just couldn't decide who to leave out so it could be "Someone and partners".

I think that's one of the perks of *being* a partner. There's one firm that we deal with a fair bit (albeit on opposite sides of the table) that keeps having partners leave for other firms or to hang out their own shingle. It's a bit of a relief, because the name gets shorter for a little while; but it's a bit of a pain because I have to check their website for their current name every time I need to address a letter.

Thanks Pat I'd like to buy a vowel!
And I thought my Dad's ad agency was long at four names.
Not a single name starts with a vowel--no turning this one into an acronym without doing what merimask suggested.

thanks for the laugh!
